The aims of Heartbeat Victoria are to:
 

©	Give support and reassurance to cardiac patients and their families when corrective surgery has been or may be necessary.
©	Promote friendship between ex-patients and carers through meetings and social activities.
©	Assist in raising funds to equip cardiac surgical and recovery units in public and non-profit private hospitals and to further the understanding of  coronary disease.
